At Engine Yard, we focus on Rails application deployment and operations support, so you can focus on developing your app and your business.

Many customers start in the development phase and grow to hundreds of thousands of users, without hassles along the way.
Start with 1 slice on our cluster, then grow to 20 slices, then to dedicated clusters in our data center or yours - all without changing your code. Literally develop on your laptop, then deploy with ease.
And we're always here for you, 24/7, by phone, email, and web:

Coding Challenge

We're happy to announce the Rails to Italy 2007 Coding Challenge. The topic will be "Your Favourite Thing" - create a small, interactive web application that is related to your favorite thing or activity*.

This can be something that educates people about your favorite thing (ever wanted an interactive simulation of Tuna throwing?). Or something that helps with your favorite activity (Didn't you always want to map that archeological digs in your backyard?). Or maybe you can even "do" your favority thing online (multiplayer online curling, anyone?)

It's up to you! Tell us about your favorite thing!

You can submit your entry at challenge@railstoitaly.org - check out the rules below.

And please remember that the jury will to have to check out your application, so you should either put it on a public server or have it installable within 5 minutes! If we can't install the thing, you're out.

PRIZES

Prizes are 1 iPhone or iPod touch + 2 iPod shuffle!
