SeMedia (Semantic Web and Multimedia) group at ‘Università Politecnica delle Marche’, Ancona, Italy, is offering a position to an experienced Ruby/Rails programmer to insert into a development team. The project (Talia), founded by the EU community, aims at developing an innovative Web platform, based on Semantic Web technologies, for supporting research activities in the Humanities. Requirements are:
  • Proved experience in (professional) Ruby/Rails development
  • Ability to work in team (face-to-face and remotely)
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
  • Background in Semantic Web vision and technologies (or, alternatively, will to quickly learn and start to apply such technologies)
  • Ability to face novel and interesting research issues

The programmer will be required to work in Ancona for the entire duration of the contract.
